GreenCloud Printer is an optimized virtual printer, working with any printer model. It will allow to preview with the same dialog whatever the software you are using before printing. In 1 click it will allow to deselect pages you don't need to print, or to group several pages in 1 sheet of paper.

GreenCloud printer is a fast PDF creator too but it allows to send the pdf by email, to Dropbox , Minus or Google Docs with the integrated file uploader.

Release Notes

Highlights in this release include:

"LockColorants" command line option for tiffsep and psdcmyk devices. Specifying -dLockColorants will restrict those devices to only the colorants list on the command line (thus: -c "<< /SeparationColorNames [ /Cyan /Magenta /Yellow /Black /Violet /Orange] /SeparationOrder [ /Cyan /Magenta /Yellow /Black /Violet /Orange]>> setpagedevice"), rather than allowing the devices to add new colorants as encountered in the input. This is, obviously, preferable for real printers, where only a certain of inks will be available.

Improved high level devices handling of Forms. Whilst High level devices (eg pdfwrite) already checked Forms to see if they are duplicates, and if so use the initial definition. However, this does not improve performance, since the Form PaintProc still needs to be executed for each instance of the Form, and the matching algorithm could, in very odd circumstances, be defeated. The new implementation benefits both causes, meaning the second and subsequent invocation of the form need not re-run the PaintProc, and removes the heurisic aspect of the reuse detection.

New URW+ fonts in which the families NimbusMono, NimbusRoman and NimbusSans have been augmented with production quality Greek and Cyrillic glyphs. These correspond to our substitutes for the PDF base 14 fonts.

Plus the usual round of bug fixes, compatibility changes, and incremental improvements.

PDFCreator ist ein kostenloses Programm, mit dem sich Dokumente eines jeden Windows-Programms als PDF-Datei speichern lassen. Es wird dazu als Drucker in das System eingebunden und erlaubt so die Ausgabe in eine PDF-Datei.

Die Qualität der erstellten Dokumente ist dabei ähnlich hoch wie bei den Produkten von Adobe. Zum weiteren Funktionsumfang von PDFCreator gehört eine 128-Bit-Verschlüsselung, die die Dateien vor unerwünschten Zugriffen schützt. Auch eine Bündelung mehrerer Dokumente zu einer PDF-Datei ist möglich.

Improvements

The JobID token now holds the Windows print job id. This is not unique over reboots though. The Counter token remains always unique.
The COM Interface now has a method PrintFile, to call the Windows Shell commands to print a file with PDFCreator.

Bugs fixed

The save file dialog was still not on top in some cases, when the PDFCreator window was skipped. We thought to have fixed this, but there were more conditions where this could occur.
PDFCreator could crash when no settings were present in the registry for the current user.
Changing the Metadata in the print job window did no work, the final document contained the defaults
Fixed a bug in the UI where the Resampling for Color and Monochrome images could not be set separately
Loading settings from an INI file did not work
PDFCreator Plus: There was a bug in HotFolder. When creating the folder for converted documents inside the watched folder, it was converted infinitely.

Known issues

We have seen problems with opening a mail client from PDFCreator with Windows 8 and Thunderbird. The MAPI32.dll method just fails. This disappears when the Log level is set to Debug, without observable reason.
