GreenCloud Printer is an optimized virtual printer, working with any printer model. It will allow to preview with the same dialog whatever the software you are using before printing. In 1 click it will allow to deselect pages you don't need to print, or to group several pages in 1 sheet of paper.

GreenCloud printer is a fast PDF creator too but it allows to send the pdf by email, to Dropbox , Minus or Google Docs with the integrated file uploader.

The ink, print cartridge or toner is saved by a setting you can define, instead of printing in pure black it will print with a dark grey which won't affect the overall quality.

PDFStitcher lets you stitch multiple PDF pages into a single-page document, AKA N-Up.

The developer designed PDFSticher specifically to convert sewing patterns into a convenient and easy-to-follow format for projects, but it can be used for any multiple-page PDF.

PDFStitcher can select layers for inclusion/exclusion in the final output. Also, each layer can modify line properties if the input PDF is compatible. PDFStitcher can additionally detect system language settings and change localization if supported. PDFStitcher is straightforward to use, and the UI lends itself to that ease of use. It works quickly, even with a large number of pages selected.

New features

The biggest new thing is a menu item for bug reports. Go to Help -> Report a Bug, and it will gather a bunch of information about your system. Edit this field to describe the problem, then copy and paste into either a GitHub issue (preferred, but requires a GitHub account), or an email to ccurtis@mtroyal.ca .

The bug report dialog also has a button to create a "mangled" version of your input document - this anonymizes and scrambles the contents of the PDF and so that the intellectual property is lost, but the structure is retained. Clicking the "Mangle PDF" button will create a new document on your desktop with a gibberish hash name like 1asdfl3289sd8323kd8.pdf. Attach this PDF to your bug report issue or email and it will allow me to replicate the issue a lot easier!

PDFStitcher also now checks the PDF permissions and displays a message to the user that this should be used for personal use only.

Bug fixes

    Translations:
        flatpak and pypi version now have translation files included
        Language choice no longer depends on country code (e.g. Canadian French should correctly be detected as French) ( #163 )
        If Slovak detected, language falls back to Czech instead of English ( #120 )
        If language errors occur, they're now displayed in the log panel

    User interface:
        layer list changed to a neutral grey for compatibility with dark mode
        selecting centimetres now works ( #164 )
        update checks no longer happen in flatpak environment
        version comparisons should be more robust (to things like beta!)

    Compatibility:
        Native version for M1/M2 macOS processors now available (thanks to a self-hosted mac mini action runner!). If you have a mac from fall 2020 or later, it's probably got the Apple Silicon chip and you should download the "ARM64.dmg" version. If you have a mac with an Intel chip, download the "X64.dmg" version.
        Python version rolled back to v3.8, should work on Windows 7 again (64-bit), but I haven't been able to test this.

PDF-XChange Editor is a feature-rich PDF viewer and editor with a tabbed interface. The program includes edition of text-based PDFs, OCR of image based/scanned PDF's to fully text-searchable PDFs, full document spellchecking, rotate/crop documents, add comments/annotations to any PDF file, QR codes, and more. You can apply custom stamps from any image/PDF file/Windows clipboard, mark-up pages with text and objects, and add/edit hyperlinks.

The program supports export to text or image (BMP/JPEG/TIFF/PNG etc.).

Note: The free PDF-XChange Editor lacks some features present in the registered version (payware). Some "Pro" features noted with with a shopping cart icon can be used, but add a watermark upon saving.

With one click you can convert your Microsoft Excel, Word or PowerPoint documents or your emails and favorite web sites to PDF files. doPDF is a free PDF converter, it is not a PDF viewer. To view PDF files you will need the free Adobe Reader.

doPDF installs itself as a virtual PDF printer driver so after a successful installation will appear in your Printers and Faxes list. To convert to PDF, you just have to print the document to doPDF, the free pdf converter. Open a document (with Microsoft Word, WordPad, NotePad or any other software), choose Print and select doPDF.
