doPDF is a free PDF converter for both personal and commercial use. Using doPDF you can create PDF files by selecting the "Print" command from virtually any application. With one click you can convert your Microsoft Excel, Word or PowerPoint documents or your emails and favorite web sites to PDF files. doPDF is a free PDF converter, it is not a PDF viewer. To view PDF files you will need the free Adobe Reader.

doPDF installs itself as a virtual PDF printer driver so after a successful installation will appear in your Printers and Faxes list. To convert to PDF, you just have to print the document to doPDF, the free pdf converter. Open a document (with Microsoft Word, WordPad, NotePad or any other software), choose Print and select doPDF. It will ask you where to save the PDF file and when finished, the PDF file will be automatically opened in your default PDF viewer.

Sie haben mehrere Präsentationen als PDF vorliegen und müssen daraus eine einzelne erstellen - jedes PDF in die Ursprungsdatei zurückzuverwandeln, anschließend zusammenzufügen und danach erneut zu konvertieren gestaltet sich als mühselig und zeitintensiv.

Die Freeware "PDF Split and Merge" kürzt den Prozess ab, indem es bereits existierende PDFs über nur wenige Mausklicks trennt oder zusammenfügt.

Verbinden von PDF Dateien erweitert

Beim Verbinden von PDF Dateien wird nun standardmäßig die Funktion von PDFBox verwendet, denn hier wird auch der Seitenbaum in die neue PDF mit aufgenommen. Diese Umstellung betrifft das Verbinden von ganzen PDF Dateien. Bei der seitenweisen Funktion wird weiterhin QPDF verwendet. Welcher Provider beim Zusammenfügen verwendet wird, kann über die die Einstellungsvariable joinPdfsProvider eingestellt werden. Im Handbuch stehen zu dieser Einstellungen weitere Einzelheiten.

Verwendung von /CETCOMPAT beim Kompilieren

Beim Kompilieren von EXE und DLL Dateien verwenden wird nun die Kompileroption /CETCOMPAT.

Reader: Problem beim Schließen behoben

Bei bestimmten PDF Dateien konnte beim Schließen des Readers und bei geöffneter Seitenansicht ein Problem auftreten, sodass der Reader dann abgestürzt ist. Dieses Problem wurde beseitigt.

Problem beim Aufruf von Ghostscript behoben

Beim Aufruf von Ghostscript mit langer Kommandozeile gab es ein Problem mit einem Argument, sodass der Aufruf nicht das gewünschte Ergebnis geliefert hat. Dieses Problem wurde behoben.

Assistent: Problem beim Verarbeiten kleiner Dateien behoben

Wenn der Assistent mit einer kleinen Datei gestartet wird, dann gab es hier ein Problem beim Starten der GUI, welches nun gelöst ist.

Toolbox: Footer-Bar im Statusfenster der Auftragsverarbeitung

Im Statusfenster der Auftragsverarbeitung gibt es nun eine Footerbar mit Funktionen. Diese Bar kann über die Option feature.toolbox.jobMonitorFooter ausgeblendet werden. Mehr dazu im Handbuch.
