OCR: Problem mit tesseract.exe behoben

Die von uns verwendete tesseract.exe hat auf einigen Systemen nicht korrekt funktioniert. Tesseract ist dafür zuständig, den Text in einem Bild zu erkennen. Wir haben nun die tesseract.exe neu gebaut und ein neues Flag verwendet, welches das Problem löst. Die neue Version sollte nun auch auf den Systemen laufen, wo es vorher nicht gelaufen ist.

Image2Pdf: Alle EXIF Ausrichtungen werden unterstützt

Über EXIF kann die Ausrichtung einer Bilddatei gesteuert werden. In eine der letzten Versionen hatten wir eine Unterstützung für einige dieser Möglichkeiten eingebaut. Dies haben wir nun weiter ausgebaut und es werden nun alle EXIF Ausrichtungen unterstützt. Das bedeutet, dass Bilder in korrekter Ausrichtung in ein PDF eingebettet werden.

Toolbox: Einige Overlay-Icons wurden nicht angezeigt

Bei den Tools "Seiten extrahieren", "Seiten entfernen", "Seiten drehen", "PDF zusammenfügen" gibt es Icons, die über der Seite liegen, um dem Nutzer zu verdeutlichen, dass er mit der Seite interagieren kann. Diese Icons waren nicht sichtbar, weil die verwendeten Styles nicht korrkt waren. Das Problem ist behoben.

Toolbox: Layout bei der Dateivorschau geändert

Das Layout der Dateivorschau in der Dateiauswahlbox wurde geändert. In der neuen Versionen werden die Datei-Tools, das Vorschaubild, der Dateiname und die Metadaten wie Dateigröße und Seitenanzahl besser dargestellt.

Toolbox: Vorschaubilder für PDFs werden nun erzeugt

In der Toolbox gibt es bei den meisten Tools eine Dateiauswahl. In dieser Dateiauswahl werden die gewählten Dateien dargestellt. In dieser Darstellung gibt es ein Vorschaubild. Bisher wurden Vorschaubilder nur für Bilddateien wie z.b. JPGs oder PNGs dargestellt. Dies haben wir erweitert und nun wird auch für PDF Dateien ein Vorschaubild erzeugt.

Toolbox: Vergrößerte Overlay Dateivorschau eingebaut

Die Vorschaubilder in der Dateiauswahlbox sind recht klein und nicht immer gut zu erkennen. Der Nutzer hatte es nicht immer leicht, zu erkennen, ob er die richtige Datei gewählt hat und ob diese korrekt ausgerichtet ist. Mit Hilfe der neuen vergrößerten Dateivorschau wird dies nun besser. Die vergrößerte Dateivorschau kann über das Lupen-Icon geöffnet werden.

Toolbox: Dateien nicht doppelt konvertieren

Die Toolbox wandelt Dateien automatisch in das PDF Format um, wenn das PDF Format für die Anzeige benötigt wird. Wenn der Nutzer im Anschluss die finale PDF erstellt, dann ist ebenfalls eine Umwandlung erforderlich. Hier haben wir verbessert, sodass nun das vorherige Umwandlungsergebnis verwendet wird. Auf diese Weise muss nicht doppelt konvertiert werden.

Toolbox: Neue Icons beim Seitenmodus im PDF Zusammenfügen Tool
Die alten PNG Icons wurden abgelöst und der Icon Font kommt hier zum Einsatz, damit die Icons auf verschiedenen Bildschirmen gleich gut dargestellt werden.

Toolbox: Bilder beim "Bilder in PDF" Tool können gedreht werden

Beim "Bilder in PDF" Tool gibt es nun die Möglichkeit, Bilder zu drehen. Dazu gibt es über der Vorschau zwei Icons, mit denen die Ausrichtung eingestellt werden kann. In der erstellten PDF wird die Ausrichtung dann korrekt eingestellt.

Toolbox: EXIF Unterstützung in der UI eingebaut

Die UI der Toolbox ist HTML basiert. Für die Darstellung wird aktuell immer noch der IE11 von Windows verwendet. Der IE11 unterstützt EXIF aber nicht von Hause aus. Hier haben wir nachgebessert und eine EXIF Unterstützung eingebaut. Dies ist vor allem für das "Bilder in PDF" Tool wichtig, damit dem Nutzer auch die korrekte Ausrichtung des Bildes präsentiert wird und damit der Nutzer das Bild korrekt ausrichten kann, wenn die Ausrichtung einmal nicht korrekt sein sollte.

With one click you can convert your Microsoft Excel, Word or PowerPoint documents or your emails and favorite web sites to PDF files. doPDF is a free PDF converter, it is not a PDF viewer. To view PDF files you will need the free Adobe Reader.

doPDF installs itself as a virtual PDF printer driver so after a successful installation will appear in your Printers and Faxes list. To convert to PDF, you just have to print the document to doPDF, the free pdf converter. Open a document (with Microsoft Word, WordPad, NotePad or any other software), choose Print and select doPDF.
