Toolbox speichert letzte Fensterplatzierung

Die Toolbox speichert nun die zuletzt verwendete Fenstergröße und Position auf dem Bildschirm. Auf diese Weise kann der Nutzer die Anwendung besser an seine verwendete Hardware anpassen. Gerade bei großen Bildschirmen möchten einige Nutzer keine maximierte Darstellung.

Tray-Icon Open Aktion verbessert

Über das Tray-Icon kann man den PDF24 über das Icon-Kontextmenü oder über ein Doppelklick öffnen. Dieses Verhalten wurde verbessert. Wenn die Toolbox aktiviert ist, dann wird die Toolbox geöffnet. Wenn die Toolbox nicht aktiviert ist, dann wird stattdessen der ältere Launcher geöffnet.

Einige Pinsel-Typen bei Tools in der Toolbox deaktiviert

Bei den Tools Bearbeiten, Schwärzen und Annotieren in der Toolbox haben wir einige Pinseltypen deaktiviert, da diese in der Offline-Version nicht korrekt laufen. Hier müssen wir schauen, wie wir diese Pinseltypen umstellen, damit diese auch in der Offline-Version funktionieren.

Importieren von Unterschriften in das Unterschreiben-Tool verbessert

Unterschriften, die als Bild vorliegen, können in das Tool importiert werden. Bei großen Bildern kam es zu Problemen mit der Darstellung, sodass es schwer war, diese zu importieren. Hier haben wir verbessert, sodass dies nun leichter ist.

Weitere Funktionen können in der Toolbox deaktiviert werden

In der Toolbox wurden weitere Anweisungen hinzugefügt, mit denen man Tools in der Toolbox abschalten kann. Dies kann über die Windows Registry erfolgen. Die Registry-Einträge haben die folgende Form: feature.toolbox.[blacken | ...] = [0 | 1] (DWORD). Wenn man z.b. das Schwärzen-Tool abschalten möchte, dann setzt man feature.toolbox.blacken = 0.
Sprachdateien aktualisiert

Problem beim Updater behoben

Der Updater hat eine Anweisung nicht korrekt ausgewertet, wodurch es zu Problemen bei der Erkennung von Updates gekommen ist. Dieses Problem wurde in dieser Version beseitigt.

Reader kann gerade geöffnete Datei nicht überschreiben

Im Reader haben wir einen Schutz eingebaut, sodass die gerade geöffnete Datei nicht überschrieben werden kann. Wollte man dies in älteren Versionen tun, dann gab es Probleme bei der Speicherung und die neu gespeicherte Datei war leer.

Filteroptionen in der Toolbox haben deaktivierte Tools sichtbar gemacht

In der Toolbox hat man verschiedene Filter, die der Benutzer verwenden kann, um Tools anzuzeigen. Einer der Filter ist z.b. der für zuletzt verwendete Tools. Weiter besteht im gesamten Programm die Möglichkeit, bestimmte Funktion zu deaktivieren, wenn diese z.b. in einem Unternehmen nicht zur Verfügung stehen sollen. Die Verwendung der Filter hat aber dazu geführt, das diese deaktivierten Funktionen sichtbar gemacht wurden. Dieses Problem ist nun behoben.

Sie haben mehrere Präsentationen als PDF vorliegen und müssen daraus eine einzelne erstellen - jedes PDF in die Ursprungsdatei zurückzuverwandeln, anschließend zusammenzufügen und danach erneut zu konvertieren gestaltet sich als mühselig und zeitintensiv.

Die Freeware "PDF Split and Merge" kürzt den Prozess ab, indem es bereits existierende PDFs über nur wenige Mausklicks trennt oder zusammenfügt.

Mediabox rotation improved

The Mediabox rotation is used for overlaying content. Improvements had to be made here because problems occurred with certain PDF files. The function now also supports Mediabox definitions where the lower left coordinate is not in the origin. This is quite rare, but some PDFs use this possibility.

Use of metadata when converting images to PDF

Metadata is now also evaluated when converting images to PDF. The orientation that can be stored in the metadata is used here. Based on the determined orientation, the rotation of the page in the PDF is adjusted accordingly. In this way, the user no longer has to correct the orientation afterwards. Especially with photos that come from smartphones, the orientation is often incorrect. This improvement now simplifies the conversion of images into PDF files.

Direct embedding of JPG images in a PDF

JPEG images are now embedded in the PDF without re-encoding. This often makes the PDF file size much smaller and the quality remains the same. This behavior can be controlled via the registry setting Img2PDFPassThroughJPEGImages (DWORD [0|1]).

Online converter block removed from the settings area

The online converter block has been removed from the Settings UI, as this option is also available from the features area in the settings. The duplication is not necessary here.

Problem with transformation matrices fixed

When calculating transformation matrices used in PDF files, two errors have been fixed which caused problems with certain PDF files. The new calculations are now correct.

Fixed script error in the toolbox

We fixed some script errors in the toolbox that occurred when using certain languages such as Dutch. We had to make some changes and add extensions so that the translated text does not cause problems with the scripts.

Fixed a script error when displaying grouped results in the toolbox

The toolbox shows the results of an operation grouped if this is necessary. When viewing these groups, a script error occurred with certain input files. The reason for the problem was the file name. Filenames with certain characters caused this problem. We have investigated and fixed this issue.
Three untranslated text translated in the toolbox

In the toolbox there were still 3 untranslated texts. The texts were displayed in German. Here we have improved so that these texts now also use the translated version.

Probleme mit der UTF8 Zeichenkodierung bei manchen Systemen behoben

Bei manchen Systemen gab es Probleme mit der UTF8 Zeichenkodierung. In der Toolbox z. B. wurden einige Umlaute nicht korrekt angezeigt. Dies betraf nicht alle Systeme. Wir haben das untersucht und das Problem behoben.

Problem beim Umwandeln von Bildern in PDF behoben

Es wurde ein Problem mit der "Bilder zu PDF" Funktion und der neu eingeführten Einbettung von JPG-Dateien ohne Neucodierung behoben. Wenn eine Bilddatei die Dateierweiterung .jpg hat und das Bild nicht wirklich ein JPG-Bild ist, dann ist das direkte Einbetten mit einer leeren Seite fehlgeschlagen. Wir verwenden jetzt eine andere Technik, um JPG-Bilder zu identifizieren, damit Bilder mit falschen Dateierweiterungen wieder korrekt funktionieren.

Im Einstellungsbereich kann man nun die "Bilder zu PDF" Funktion konfigurieren

Der Block "Bilder in PDF" wurde im Einstellungsbereich aufgenommen, in dem Sie einige Einstellungen vornehmen können, die die "Bild zu PDF" Funktion verwendet. Vorher konnte man das nur direkt über die Windows Registry machen. So ist es komfortabler.

JRE auf Version 15.0.2 aktualisiert

Die neue Version stellt keinen direkten Vorteil da, aber für einige Firmen ist es wichtig, eine aktuelle Version zu haben.
