doPDF is a free PDF converter for both personal and commercial use. Using doPDF you can create PDF files by selecting the "Print" command from virtually any application. With one click you can convert your Microsoft Excel, Word or PowerPoint documents or your emails and favorite web sites to PDF files. doPDF is a free PDF converter, it is not a PDF viewer. To view PDF files you will need the free Adobe Reader.

doPDF installs itself as a virtual PDF printer driver so after a successful installation will appear in your Printers and Faxes list. To convert to PDF, you just have to print the document to doPDF, the free pdf converter. Open a document (with Microsoft Word, WordPad, NotePad or any other software), choose Print and select doPDF. It will ask you where to save the PDF file and when finished, the PDF file will be automatically opened in your default PDF viewer.

Die Qualität der erstellten Dokumente ist dabei ähnlich hoch wie bei den Produkten von Adobe. Zum weiteren Funktionsumfang von PDFCreator gehört eine 128-Bit-Verschlüsselung, die die Dateien vor unerwünschten Zugriffen schützt. Auch eine Bündelung mehrerer Dokumente zu einer PDF-Datei ist möglich.

Druckaufträge wurden immer im Creator geöffnet, wenn dieser offen war, auch wenn die entsprechende Option dazu nicht aktiviert wurde. Dieses Problem ist nun behoben und die Option in den Einstellungen wird nun korrekt umgesetzt.

BugFix: Update Modus Einstellung wurde in den HKCU Bereich geschrieben

Die Update-Mode Einstellung wird wieder korrekt in den HKLM Bereich der Registry geschrieben. Ein Fehler in der Logik hatte dazu geführt, dann dieser in den HKCU Bereich gelangt ist. Den Update-Mode kann man auch nur ändern, wenn man die Einstellungen als Admin ausführt.

Optimierung: Einsatz von Ghostscript 9.2.3

Diese Version liefert das aktuelle Ghostscript 9.2.3 mit aus. Verbesserungen in dieser Version kommen damit auch dem Benutzer zugute.

Optimierung: Tray Icon Verhalten optimiert
