PDFCreator ist ein kostenloses Programm, mit dem sich Dokumente eines jeden Windows-Programms als PDF-Datei speichern lassen. Es wird dazu als Drucker in das System eingebunden und erlaubt so die Ausgabe in eine PDF-Datei.

Die Qualität der erstellten Dokumente ist dabei ähnlich hoch wie bei den Produkten von Adobe. Zum weiteren Funktionsumfang von PDFCreator gehört eine 128-Bit-Verschlüsselung, die die Dateien vor unerwünschten Zugriffen schützt. Auch eine Bündelung mehrerer Dokumente zu einer PDF-Datei ist möglich.

Increased Safety Level

A higher safety level is now available in PDFCreator Plus and all Business editions. We are very happy to provide 256 Bit AES encryption.

This is possible because PDFCreator is now including PDF Tools libraries. The Swiss company PDF Tools is member of the PDF association and provides the highly valued PDF Online Validator pdf-online.com. As Switzerland is world-wide known for best security levels, we believe there's no better way to rely on additional security tools being provided by Swiss companies. Using PDF Tools for signing, encryption and PDF/A conversion ensures the highest quality standards.

More Improvements

    Dropbox share link is shown after conversion.
    Single share link (folder) for Dropbox allows upload of multiple files.
    Translations are improved for faster loading, correct plural forms for languages with more than one plural and improved translation experience for our translators (link: translate.pdfforge.org).

Please Note

PDFCreator 2.5 will be the last version to run on Windows XP. Further versions of PDFCreator will run on .NET 4.5 and require at least Windows Vista SP2 or Windows Server 2008 SP2.

Bugs fixed

    Better detection of Print/PrintTo associations for Windows 8 and above. This unfortunately was changed by Microsoft in an undocumented and incompatible way.

doPDF is a free PDF converter for both personal and commercial use. Using doPDF you can create PDF files by selecting the "Print" command from virtually any application. With one click you can convert your Microsoft Excel, Word or PowerPoint documents or your emails and favorite web sites to PDF files. doPDF is a free PDF converter, it is not a PDF viewer. To view PDF files you will need the free Adobe Reader.

doPDF installs itself as a virtual PDF printer driver so after a successful installation will appear in your Printers and Faxes list. To convert to PDF, you just have to print the document to doPDF, the free pdf converter. Open a document (with Microsoft Word, WordPad, NotePad or any other software), choose Print and select doPDF. It will ask you where to save the PDF file and when finished, the PDF file will be automatically opened in your default PDF viewer.

Feature: Page numbering feature added

Page numbers can now be added to PDF files automatically. We have continuously developed this feature in the past and now it is ready for use. The Save-As dialog contains a new sections where you can configure the page numbering options. These settings can also be stored into an output filter profile. The page numbering feature is extremely helpful, when you merge or join multiple files and if the final file shall have page numbers.

Feature: Watermark/Stamp texts with placeholders

Watermark and stamp texts can now have some placeholder. The PDF24 Creator replaces this placeholders before the file gets saved. Currently placeholders for time and date are available. You can use this new feature to realize a date or receipt stamp.
We have also improved the watermark function to the effect, that it can be used together with the new page numbering feature of this version.

Improvement: Language files and core functions

Under the hood, we have optimized and improved some core parts to make them better and more secure. We have also updated the language files and we have done some foundation works for future versions.

Titel, Autor und Version kann der Anwender mit den PDFill Free PDF Tools als Dateiinformationen eintragen und in Verbindung mit einem Scanner auch direkt PDF-Dokumente erzeugen. Die Bedienung der Freeware erklärt sich von selbst. Die Benutzeroberfläche präsentiert übersichtlich alle 15 Optionen.

Die PDF-Werkzeugkiste PDFill Free PDF Tools bietet eine recht gute Zusammenstellung von kleinen Helfern zur Bearbeitung und Erstellung von PDF-Dokumenten. Bei der Installation sucht die Freeware selbstständig Ghostscript und lädt es bei Bedarf zusätzlich aus dem Netz.

Sie haben mehrere Präsentationen als PDF vorliegen und müssen daraus eine einzelne erstellen - jedes PDF in die Ursprungsdatei zurückzuverwandeln, anschließend zusammenzufügen und danach erneut zu konvertieren gestaltet sich als mühselig und zeitintensiv.

Ghostscript erstellt PostScript- sowie PDF-Dateien und bereitet diese für Bildschirmansicht und Druck auf. Auch eine Konvertierung von PostScript-Dateien in PDF-Dokumente und gängige Bildformate ist mit dem Tool möglich. Die etwas umständliche Bedienung per Kommandozeile lässt sich mit grafischen Bedienoberlächen wie GSView oder GhostView umgehen. Ghostscript harmoniert prima mit FreePDF XP zum kostenlosen Erstellen von PDF-Dokumenten.
