Miranda IM v0.8.11 Released

The Miranda IM team is proud to introduce Miranda IM v0.8.11. Miranda IM v0.8.11 contains bug fixes that address issues found in Miranda IM v0.8.10. It is highly recommended that users upgrade to take advantage of the latest changes. Below, you will find a complete list of the issues addressed in this release.

Miranda IM is the smaller, faster, easier instant messenger with support for multiple protocols. Designed from the ground-up to be resource efficient while still providing a rich feature set, Miranda includes support for AIM, Gadu-Gadu, Jabber, ICQ, IRC, MSN, Yahoo and more. Additionally, with the choice of hundreds of plugins, icons, sounds and other content, Miranda IM gives you the ability to modify, customise and extend functionality to make it your own.

 Miranda IM v0.9.0 Alpha Build 4

In build 0.9.0.4:
- strongly modified tabSrmm;
- some fixes for Jabber, MSN & YAHOO protos;
- some fixes for Scriver.
- Status icon on Task Bar support for Windows 7

Important changes to profile path:

1. Default profile path if no mirandaboot.ini exist is moved to %miranda_root%\Profiles directory. Miranda will not allow storing profile in the %miranda_root% regardless of mirandaboot.ini settings. Everybody storing profile in the %miranda_root% will have to manually move database into %miranda_root%\Profiles subdirectory. If mirandaboot.ini explicitly reference %miranda_root% as profile directory then this should be changed before profile will be found.

2. If profile is located outside %miranda_root%, Miranda no longer creates Profiles subdirectory for profile specific folders and data. So likely you will have to manually move all files out of Profiles subdirectory one level up.

Build 0.9.0.5 summarizes all fixes made in the development version:

The main feature of this release is HTTP 1.1 persistent connection implementation, this drastically improves performance of HTTP gateways when operating through HTTP proxy. In addition HTTP persistent connection is now available to all Miranda plugins.

As a side effect ICQ mod plugins will not work in HTTP gateway mode with this version and later.

- many fixes for the network layer (netlib),
- it also fixes problems with the ICQ file transfers;
- some minor improvements for Jabber, MSN & YAHOO protocols;
- bunch of another minor fixes.
