Release Notes

Finally, we're proud to present our new database driver, libmdbx, which replaces old good dbx_mmap that has been serving us for about 12 years. New driver provides the key ability of indexing events and contacts, which is vitally important for many cloud protocols like Facebook, Skype, Discord etc.

After updating to this version Miranda will convert your existing profile to the new format. The previous file would be backed up to prevent the information loss/damage.

    Miranda can now be really built using Makefiles.
    mirandaboot.ini: for the corporate users SilentUpgrade flag was added into mirandaboot.ini to silently upgrade database from dbx_mmap tp dbx_mdbx.
    fixed some bugs which could lead to database destruction.
    Miranda no longer allows you to copy the currently used database. The database must be copied only via Db_autobackups to prevent database destruction. Db_autobackups was added to the core package.
    exe loader extracted to the separate module, now it's possible to compile all exe using shared runtime modules.

The main feature of this update is new XML parser based on tinyxml2 library. Old parser, which was ugly and required many additional resources, dumped.

Also, the ICQ/MRA protocol is almost completely stabilized and useful.
