ExifTool kann mehr als nur Meta-Daten lesen und schreiben: Die von der Kamera gelieferten EXIF-Daten sind nicht immer korrekt, beispielsweise wenn das Kameradatum nicht stimmt oder der Kommentar noch auf den Vorbesitzer der Kamera hinweist. Solche Fehler korrigiert das Exif-Tool.

Die Sammlung von Perl-Skripten liest EXIF-, IPTC- und XMP-Daten und ändert diese auf Wunsch. Einen separaten Perl-Interpreter braucht man nicht. Für den vollen Funktionsumfang muss man sich mit der Kommandozeile vertraut machen, zum Korrigieren der Metadaten einzelner Bilder genügt das auf ExifTool aufsetzende ExifTool GUI.

ExifToolGui is a graphical interface for the already-known ExifTool application. It was created in order to make it easier for users to deal with its functions. Of course, this makes the original application more accessible to normal or casual users. The product has been slightly changed, so don't go expecting the app to be perfect. Still, it remains efficient and as far as I was concerned, the program did respond quickly and efficiently.

    Added a menu item to check for updated versions.

    Translations are available for Dutch, German, French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
    If you have selected the Language DLL's during the install, then the Language will be automatically selected according to your Windows languge. (If available)
    You can force a language by adding one of these commandline parameters: /Lang=NLD, /Lang=DEU, Lang=FRA, Lang=Ita, /Lang=PTB, Lang=ESP, Lang=ENU
    Should you regret your choice, because you feel the translation is really bad, simply uninstall ExiftoolGUI and reinstall without the Language DLL's.

    Many translations were done with help from Deepl, if you feel they need improving add a comment to one of the language issues.

    Added an option in preferences to specify a custom config

    A nasty bug has been corrected that prevented showing images/videos on the OSM map with negative GPS coordinates.

    Exiftool "-api geolocation" and "-geolocate=" support has been added, as a Geocode provider.

    Style fixes for Darkmode styles.
