 NAT: on name server changes force a reconnect of the virtual network cable to notify the

 Solaris hosts: fixed a potential kernel panic caused due to unexpected preemption due to

As the Opera rapid release cycle beds down, today we're promoting Opera 17 from the Developer channel (highly experimental) to the Next channel, which is our feature-complete line and thr last stage before being released to the world as the stable product.

Besides bugfixes, the highlight of things of this Opera 17 Next release:

    More settings and preferences, like startup handling options, manage search engines,
    Pinned tabs,
    DPI aware on Windows,
    Enhanced extensions APIs and possibility to hide extensions buttons.


We read all your bug reports and feedback (thanks a million for giving it to us). We've decided to postpone Quick Access Bar as it still needs some tweaking and bug fixing. Synchronization can't yet be turned on while we finalise the server-side support and add support for more data types in the browser.
Of course, you will find all the feature switches in opera:flags
Opera 18 Developer should be released very soon. Besides Quick Access Bar, Synchronization, you should soon see further work in the area of tabs handling improvements, better autofill, themes, addressbar improvements and many others.
Thanks in advance for your bug reports and comments. To save some of you a little trouble, there is no Linux release of Opera 17, but there will be Opera for Linux.

HTTrack is a free (GPL, libre/free software) and easy-to-use offline browser utility. You can download the contents of entire web sites from the Internet to a local directory for offline viewing. HTTrack allows you to download a World Wide Web site from the internet to a local directory, building recursively all directories, getting HTML, images, and other files from the server to your computer. HTTrack arranges the original site's relative link-structure.

Simply open a page of the "mirrored" website in your browser, and you can browse the site from link to link, as if you were viewing it online. HTTrack also can update existing mirrored sites and resume interrupted site downloads. It crawls M3U and AAM files and can cache to a ZIP file. It also handles CSS. HTTrack is fully configurable, and has an integrated help system. WinHTTrack is the Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP release of HTTrack, and WebHTTrack the Linux/Unix/BSD release.

Bug fixes:

· Keyboard Preferences: Shortcuts for Generators, Effects and Analyzers were not exported. All imported shortcut changes were discarded.
· Equalization curves were corrupted in Graphic EQ mode after switching to/from Draw Curves or after running the effect then reopening it.
· Change Pitch displayed corrupted values when reducing pitch or editing "from" Frequency. Detection was very inaccurate at high sample rates.
· Bass Boost no longer clips if the track contains 32-bit audio.
· Auto Duck was excessively slow on older machines.
· (Windows) Exported MP3 comments tags were not seen by Windows programs.
· (Windows and OS X) Audacity crashed if you used system quit before file import was complete.

· (Windows Vista and later) You can now record computer playback by choosing the new "Windows WASAPI" host in Device Toolbar then a "loopback" input.
· (Windows and Mac OS X): VST scanning dialog now replaced with a dialog for choosing which VST effects to load.
· Modules Preferences replaced with a dialog on launch of Audacity enabling you to choose which modules to load.
