What is winPenPack?

Skype 4.2 bringt eine neue Funktion namens Skype Access mit. Die Entwickler wollen damit Anwendern helfen, die den Messenger häufig unterwegs nutzen, also zum Beispiel in Cafes, Zügen oder am Flughafen. Wenn man in Zeitdruck ist und zwischendurch ein kurzes Skype-Gespräch führen muss, halte vor allem die Suche nach einem WLAN-Netzwerk und den passenden Zugangsdaten auf, wie es im Blog heißt. Mit Skype Access ist man in wenigen Sekunden online und zahlt pro Minute, wobei die anfallenden Gebühren vom Guthabenkonto abgebucht werden.

Die Anrufdurchstellung, die bereits in älteren Versionen enthalten war, wurde jetzt wieder eingeführt. Damit kann jeder Skype-Nutzer einen eingehenden Anruf zu einem anderen Nutzer durchstellen; auf Wunsch auch zu einem beliebigen Telefonanschluss, wofür aber Kosten anfallen. Die weiteren Änderungen betreffen eine Überarbeitung des Assistenten zur Beurteilung der Sprachqualität sowie Verbesserungen im Zusammenspiel mit der neuen Taskleiste in Windows 7.
