Today we have a new Opera Developer update for you guys.

If you have missed bookmarks, you can start playing with the Quick Access Bar now. Enable the bar in opera:flags, and then enable the feature in opera:settings under "User Interface". Now you can drag and drop pages to the Quick Access Bar for easy access, or add new pages by simply pressing the plus button. The Quick Access Bar is built upon the newly-implemented Bookmarks API, so you can get extensions to interact with the Quick Access Bar.

Amongst the others we are still working on Search Engines manager and Themes installations. Synchronization lacks servers so it's not for testing yet.

We promised upgrades to tabs handling, so here's the first: "drag and drop" of tabs first preview is here. Enable "Allow moving tabs between windows" in opera:flags and have some fun

New Features

    Add an option to display all virtual libraries as tabs above the book list.

    Convenient to quickly switch between virtual libraries. To enable, click the Virtual library button and select 'Show virtual libraries as tabs'. You can re-arrange the tabs by drag and drop and close tabs you do not want. Right click on the tabs to restore closed tabs.
    An improved cover trimming algorithm to automatically detect and remove borders and extra space from the edge of cover images. To try it use the 'Trim' button in the edit metadata dialog. This can sometimes remove too much so if you dont like the result, just click cancel. You can make the algorithm more or less aggressive via Preferences->Tweaks
    Allow customizing the comic metadata reader plugin via Preferences->Plugins to read the series index from either the volume or the issue number of the comic.

    Make the book information dialog user resizable, with a splitter between the cover and the info panel. Also change the background of the cover panel for books that have been marked using the Temp marker plugin.

HTTrack is a free (GPL, libre/free software) and easy-to-use offline browser utility. You can download the contents of entire web sites from the Internet to a local directory for offline viewing. HTTrack allows you to download a World Wide Web site from the internet to a local directory, building recursively all directories, getting HTML, images, and other files from the server to your computer. HTTrack arranges the original site's relative link-structure.

Simply open a page of the "mirrored" website in your browser, and you can browse the site from link to link, as if you were viewing it online. HTTrack also can update existing mirrored sites and resume interrupted site downloads. It crawls M3U and AAM files and can cache to a ZIP file. It also handles CSS. HTTrack is fully configurable, and has an integrated help system. WinHTTrack is the Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP release of HTTrack, and WebHTTrack the Linux/Unix/BSD release.

SMPlayer can now update its internal Youtube code from internet so it's not necessary to update smplayer everytime Youtube makes a change.
A section "Updates" has been added to the preferences dialog, where it's possible to configure or disable the update checker.
SMPlayer could still fail to find some subtitles from opensubtitles.org. Hopefully this is fixed.
(Windows) The autoload of subtitles with non latin1 filenames has been fixed.
The Windows installer gives the possibility to delete most of the configuration files of smplayer. This can be useful if the configuration files have been corrupted or smplayer has been misconfigured. Linux users can use the command "smplayer -delete-config".

Meine Tiefschlaf-Probleme mit Firefox Portable 21 und 22 treten nun mit 23.0.1 zum Glück nicht mehr auf.

Allerdings lässt sich bei 23.0.1 nun die Tab-Leiste nicht mehr ausblenden, wenn nur ein Tab im Fenster existiert.
Dafür bräuchte man jetzt ein Plugin, erhältlich unter
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/hide-tab-bar-with-one-tab/
Dürfte sicherlich ebenso für die nicht-portable Version gelten.
