- Erzeugen von Dateiverknüpfungen (*.lnk) mit Strg+Umsch+F5: Namen von Verzeichnissen nicht nach letztem Punkt abschneiden (AppendLnk=2 in wincmd.ini)
- wincmd.ini, SelectionFocus=Farbe: Datei im Fokus mit andersfarbigem Rahmen umgeben, falls Dateien im aktiven Fenster markiert sind. Als Warnung bei sehr langen Dateilisten gedacht.

Achtung, Hinweis:

Bei mir zerlegt die 12.0 Version nach und nach die Datenbankstruktur des von 11.0.1 hinüber kopierten Profils.
Aus Dateien der Art xyz.sbd werden plötzlich Ordner XYZ.SBD und darin Dateien XYZ.SBD.sbd, ganz ähnliches passiert mit .msf
Datenverluste sind die Folge.

Und nein, hier war nicht gerade scandisk am Werk. Auch sonst keinerlei Auffälligkeiten, weder jetzt noch früher.
Allerdings ist für die portablen Anwendungen eine FAT32 Partition von 31,9 GB im Einsatz.
Die werde ich natürlich im Anschluss noch einmal untersuchen. Nicht jetzt, weil sie ja gerade in Gebrauch ist.

Statt dessen habe ich eben auf einem zweiten Rechner mit denselben portablen Datensätzen aber natürlich mit einem anderen Datenträger gegengeprüft, dito...

Keine Ahnung, woran das nun liegt, oder ob die normale Version auch betroffen ist.  

Daher habe ich nun meine Sicherung von 11.0.1 reaktiviert und bleibe bis auf weiteres dabei.

Auch möchte ich erst genau wissen, was der TestPilot Blödsinn soll, der offenbar zu 12.0 gehört, mitsamt einem Ordner "TestPilotExperimentFiles" und einem logfile.
Letzteres habe ich mal als Zip angehängt. Lediglich einen darin enthaltenen Pfad habe ich vorher entschärft.

Für mich stinkt das, ganz subjektiv und instinktiv, aber gewaltig...

Mit dem Support-Tool CrystalDiskInfo lassen sich Festplatten (HDD und SSD) mit integrierter S.M.A.R.T.-Diagnosetechnik und deren Parameter, etwa Temperatur und Speicherzustand, überwachen. Es zeigt alle technischen Daten der Laufwerke an und bewertet deren Gesamtzustand. Zudem gibt CrystalDiskInfo eine Warnung aus, wenn die Parameter kritische Werte erreichen. Das Aktualisierungsintervall lässt sich dabei frei einstellen.

Pale Moon is the work of a single individual, using contributed Open Source code to create a full-featured, speed optimized version of the popular Firefox browser. Having seen the advantages on other systems (e.g. Linux) with regards to programs being compiled specifically for the capabilities of the machine it is installed on, it became obviously clear that Windows users were at a disadvantage: Mozilla only releases windows executables with maximum compatibility in mind, meaning that Firefox is made to run on as many different systems as possible, sacrificing efficiency and speed in the process to be compatible with, by current standards, absolutely ancient hardware.


Pale Moon is a middle road, cutting away support for ancient systems to achieve a significant speed and efficiency increase, but not trying to squeeze the last few percent more out of it by limiting the range of systems it will run on even more. It aims to not waste computer resources and power on inefficient programs, while at the same time serving a wide range of systems that are currently in use around the world.
