Foxit Reader 5.0.2 fixes an issue which prevents local or remote arbitrary code execution caused by loading a malicious DLL for the Insecure Library Loading vulnerability. In addition, it solves an unexpected termination issue when opening certain PDFs in a web browser which is caused by a heap-based buffer overflow. Moreover, the version has fixed several minor bugs to enhance stability and security.

Eine neue, funktionale Version der Portable Dropbox (besser DropboxPortableAHK) ist erschienen. Neben einem verbesserten Installer bringt sie Kommandozeilenunterstützung, Rechner-Profile für verschiedene Netzwerke und einen Sync’n'Go-Modus mit. Portable Dropbox eignet sich hervorragend für den USB-Stick, auf heimischen Rechnern kann und sollte man Dropbox eh fest installieren



Der Installer kommt nun in mehreren Schritten daher und erklärt alles ganz genau. Sollte man an mehreren Rechnern unterwegs sein, so kann man Verbindungsprofile einrichten, sofern die benutzten Rechner nicht “normal” ins Netz gehen.



Im nächsten Schritt wird festgelegt, in welchem Unterordner die Portable Dropbox landen soll.



Sollte man bereits Dropbox installiert haben, so kann man deren Inhalte direkt in die Portable Dropbox kopieren oder verschieben. Dies spart Synchronisationszeit.



Automatische Updates von Portable Dropbox nutzen? Betas ausprobieren? Kein Problem.



Autostart vom USB-Stick & Co:



Des Weiteren kann festgelegt werden, ob man neben der Dropbox noch weitere Programme starten oder beenden möchte.



Nun werden die benötigten Dropbox-Komponenten aus dem Netz geladen:



Abschließend muss eure Dropbox noch eingerichtet werden. Zugangsdaten & Co eben. Verhält sich genau so, wie bei einer normalen Installation.



Danach ist man fertig und kann von nun an die Dropbox vom USB-Stick nutzen.



Wie gesagt: ziemlich cool für den USB-Sticks, wenn man auf fremde Rechner angewiesen ist. Nick hat auch noch im Dropbox-Forum etwas zu seinem Projekt geschrieben und erklärt.
