Mozilla hat die finale Ausgabe von Firefox 3.5.2 zum Download bereit gestellt. Sie dient vor allem der Verbesserung der Stablität und soll außerdem einen Fehler endgültig beseitigen, den eigentlich schon Version 3.5.1 beheben sollte.

So kann Firefox 3.5.1 weiterhin zum Absturz gebracht werden, wenn versucht wird, einen zu großen Block im Speicher zu reservieren. Die Schwachstelle kann mit Hilfe von entsprechend präparierten Websites ausgenutzt werden, weshalb Mozilla auch für Firefox 3.5.1 die Abschaltung von JavaScript empfahl.

Mit Version 3.5.2 will man das Problem nun endgültig beseitigen. Zusätzlich behebt Mozilla mit Firefox 3.5.2 auch einen Fehler der die Darstellung von Bildern mit eingebetteten ICC-Profilen bei einigen Displays bzw. Monitoren verhinderte.

In den Release Notes lässt sich die vollständige Liste der Änderungen einsehen. Firefox hat vor kurzem die 1-Milliarde-Downloads-Marke durchbrochen. Der freie Browser erfreut weiterhin größter Beliebtheit und soll auf lange Sicht dem Internet Explorer den Rang als Marktführer ablaufen.

Features

PDFTK Builder is a pdf manipulation utility for Windows with a great array of features including:

    * Collate - allows you to rearrange (reorder, delete, & duplicate) pages in a single document and/or merge pages from multiple PDF documents.
    * Split - allows you to separate each page of a PDF document into its own file.
    * Background or Stamp - 'Background' enables you to add a background to each page in a document or just the first page. The 'background' (eg a company logo, or a 'draft' watermark) must be another PDF document (the first page of that document if it has more than one page). 'Stamp' is very similar to 'background' except that the 'stamp' is placed on top of the source document.
    * Rotate - 'Rotate' enables you to rotate a range of pages in a document.
    * Password Protection: The new document can be password protected (encrypted) by providing 'owner' and 'user' passwords. The 'owner' password does not stop users from reading the document, but it does restrict the actions that users can perform on that document - printing, copying, decrypting etc. Specifying a 'user' password will stop anyone without either 'user' or 'owner' passwords from opening and reading the document.

VirtualDub is a video capture/processing utility for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows platforms (98/ME/NT4/2000/XP/Vista/7), licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL).  It lacks the editing power of a general-purpose editor such as Adobe Premiere, but is streamlined for fast linear operations over video.  It has batch-processing capabilities for processing large numbers of files and can be extended with third-party video filters.  VirtualDub is mainly geared toward processing AVI files, although it can read (not write) MPEG-1 and also handle sets of BMP images.
