In today's snapshot we finally resolved a long-standing issue with thumbnails for tabs opened in the background, have a couple of improvements to HiPDI for our Windows fans and fixed several important regressions.
We start off the week with the first release candidate for Vivaldi 1.6. This RC resolves a major regression for Mac users with swiping through history.Note: This build will receive updates from the snapshot autoupdate stream. Even if there are no additional changes, Vivaldi will be rebuilt for the stable autoupdate stream, resulting in another version number change.
Today's snapshot is another release candidate for 1.6 stable. Here we fix an issue that some of you encountered with lost passwords, made a tweak to our tab notifications feature to allow Gmail to work and fixed a problem with Web Panels that could also cause Vivaldi to fail to start.Note: This build will receive updates from the snapshot autoupdate stream. The best products do two things well: Features and details. Features are what draw people to the product and details are what keep them there. We have one last gift for you before the holiday period begins, our first 1.7 snapshot! With it comes a new 1.7 feature, the ablity to take screenshots of web pages or even the browser itself!
Today we released a minor upgrade to Vivaldi 1.6 to fix an issue where certain media files would not play for users on Ubuntu 16.04 and 16.10. Since this was a Linux only issue, Windows and Mac users will receive no update.
One last snapshot update before the holidays. It has the Linux HTML5 proprietary media fix from today's minor 1.6 update and an attempted fix for a particularly annoying issue affecting our Japanese users.
To kick off the New Year we have a new snapshot, with a new option for those of you who are extensions fans but enjoy a clean browser interface. We also fixed a few regressions and started to incorporate some of your feedback for our screenshot feature.
