In today's snapshot we provide the ability to drag tabs between windows. Unlike other browsers you can also drag tab stacks and tab selections. And of course, the old method via the context menu still works for those who prefer it. We have also improved theming performance by roughly 400%. This also improves browser startup time! If you haven't used themes before, now is a great time to get started.

Hi,Today we are releasing the first Opera 42 developer build. We have quite a lot new improvements that focus on quality for newly developed features. We also include Chrome 55.0.2859.0 intake. Here is the changelog that says much more what has been included in the today release full changelog.
Today's snapshot clears up a bunch of issues, with a particular focus on the URL field. There is also a "small update", which will become apparent in the next release.You will need to download today's Windows snapshot to see the surprise in our next one.
In the previous snapshot we dropped a hint about a change not listed in the included changelog, a "small update". In today's snapshot, we publicly test our new "delta" based update system for Windows. If you are upgrading from the last snapshot (1.5.626.8 ), only the changes between the two builds will be downloaded. If you upgrade from any other build, the full installation will be downloaded.
Hi!Last Wednesday we have delivered fresh, Chromium 55 based builds. It quickly occurred it’s one of the most crashing builds we’ve delivered so far this year (ups!). That’s why we’ve quickly prepared an update for you, so that you can continue using the developer version during the weekend.In this Opera 42 development cycle, amongst the others, we are working on: Improving the overall builds speed – fine-tuning the code and compiler/linker options, Improving the startup performance, Further optimization for battery savings, Prerenderer for addressbar that will improve perceived webpages’ opening speed (in the code review at the moment), Windows x64 builds in the final release. In this build, you will also notice some video popup fixes, and more personal news changes.We were not able to prepare the Linux update, and Mac was unaffected by the popular crash, that’s why only Windows builds are being delivered today.

Today, we have just a security update for Opera Stable 40. In this version, Chromium has been updated to 53.0.2785.143. Also, we have some minor fixes (the short changelog is available here).

We have focused on improvements to our new 1.5 features in today's snapshot, meaning further enhancements to reader view and drag tabs between windows. We also fixed two of the most serious regressions from the last snapshot (focus issues and text blurriness), improved both the Windows installer and URL field and cleaned up some UI elements.
