For today's snapshot we have new default settings for tab opening and closing behavior. These defaults are now closer to how other popular browsers work but with further refinement, and of course (since we love options) you can still use our previous methods if you prefer them.
Hi All,This release is the last 36.x based one. As such, it provides not so many changes as usual. Some fixes instead, and improved stability. Here are the highlights: We fixed the issue where it was impossible to put the graphic display to sleep. Please verify if it works for you now. Some page crashes are now fixed. A few visual adjustments to internal pages. Fixed inability to navigate to internal pages from the menu. Fixed resizing Opera after autoupdate. It is now possible to copy and paste bookmarks in the bookmarks view. Minor synchronization fixes.
I am happy to announce that Opera 36 has reached the beta status. Quite a number of changes here, known already to our developer users, and some even inspired by their feedback, including a serious redesign of the start-page and Windows 10 improvements
Most of the team has flown over for a meetup in Iceland, so that we can work more closely and focus on getting those bug numbers down! Today's snapshot includes some important changes with new options to control Alt key mouse gestures and rocker gestures (as requested by you guys!), a big fix to extensions that enables Chromecast support for videos (this also fixes many other issues with extension popups), working background tab progress indicators, fixes to Quick commands and much more!
Hello!Welcome in Opera 37 development cycle. During last cycles we’ve been clear open what we are working on. Now we are preparing small surprise for you, or actually, two, if we manage to fix everything on time. You will not find it in changelog, not even in the flags. 😀 We can’t say yet what that is, but you are very welcome to help us testing recent updates on sync engine and other bugfixes. Amongst the others there is also a flag for #no-theme-overlay, thanks to which you will be able to remove overlay.
In today’s release, we provide an important Chromium security update – more on the update in this Softpedia article:http://news.softpedia.com/news/google-paid-25-633-70-for-a-critical-chrome-bug-500621.shtmlAlso, if you take a look at the changelog, you’ll see that it breaks the record of brevity. There’s only one entry there – we fixed a crash on dragging a pinned tab.Unfortunately, the fix for DNA-47405 “Monitor won’t go sleep when Opera has animated theme” proved to be more complicated to backport than expected (yes, these things happen sometimes) and didn’t make it to the release. Truly sorry for that.
Straight to the point: today’s beta update is focused on stability. You won’t notice any revolution here – it’s more like fixing minor nuisances, and all of them internal (even this crash we have fixed here was a rare occurrence in specific usage conditions). Also, Chromium has been updated to 49.0.2623.54.For the full list of changes, please refer to the changelog.
Don't you love a surprise Friday snapshot? We have been hard at work over the last couple of days and wanted to share the latest fixes with you before the weekend. For sessions, we have added the missing delete button, fixed the problem with sessions of the same name and added in menu items for Mac. In addition the changelog includes fixes for some of our most frequently reported bugs. These changes fix a wider range of things than their titles might suggest, so give them a test and let us know if any of your worst issues are now resolved. Oh, and the team wishes you a fantastic weeked!
How’s the weather out there? Here, as I write these words, it is yet another dark day with heavy sleet pouring down from the sky and equally dark slosh on the streets. Charming. Come on, winter, behave yourself, it’s March already!
Hello! It’s time already for the long awaited update in the developer stream We’re still cooking some surprise BK mentioned about, so please be patient.Yet we have some interesting updates for you:
This build is a candidate for beta 3 release, with a few last critical changes to hopefully bring us up to beta quality. If we have not resolved a bug that has been bothering you yet, don't worry. We plan to fix a lot more before we move on to final. Nonetheless feel free to remind us of it below. Also let us know if you see any new breakage since the last snapshot.
