Otter Browser provides a solid browsing experience based on all the best aspects of the classic Opera (12.x) UI using Qt5. This Web browser is controlled by the user, and not vice-versa.

Most important changes since beta 6:

    added support for customizing context menu;
    added Opera notes import;
    added initial support for auto updates;
    added dialog allowing to decide what to do with downloaded file;
    MDI actions are now enabled by default;
    multiple fixes and improvements for MacOS X;
    allow to specify default arguments using arguments.txt;
    various minor fixes and improvements.

Known issues:

    under Windows downloading files might lead to crash;
    restoring existing session from previous releases might lead to non maximized tabs, you can use Maximize All to maximize them;
    older Qt versions might cause crashes while rendering tab thumbnails, as workaround you can set TabBar/EnablePreviews to false in about:config.

Since several important features got delayed (but are almost ready) you can expect next beta sooner than usual.

As usually I would like to thank all contributors (as usually especially bajasoft and Chocimier), bug reporters, translators and all users.

Source packages (binaries will be ready tomorrow) are available at sf.net downloads page (update: main binary packages are now available).

Beta series (all 0.9.xx releases) is codenamed Rigby, after character from Regular Show.

Today’s update includes fixes for issues with MP3 and MP4 playback and a crash on Mac. For the full list of fixes, you may click on the full changelog below.

We also upgraded Chromium to version 45.0.2454.85.

This is probably the last Opera 32 beta version before we switch it to Stable, unless you guys find some serious bugs. So, please let us know. Thanks and happy testing!

Hi Guys,

we’ve got a brand new Opera developer for you to check. There is a fix of a very annoying issue with opening links from external pages. We’ve also implemented cancel button in download popup. You can also test autoupdate notification (visible in Opera menu on Windows and as a notification dialog on Mac). We’ve improved stability and fixed a lot of bugs.
Chromium is upgraded to version 46.0.2486.0.

Known Issue: Flash plugin is not detectable on Mac and Linux – we will fix this in the next developer release.
