Dear Opera Users,Right before Chistmas we would like to give you another update for the Opera beta stream. It’s not a very big update, but it contains several bugfixes, and some of them may be important to you. For sure they will increase the stability of the browser. Have fun testing!
Today we update Opera developer to version 28. It includes a major version upgrade to Chromium (41.0.2236.0). It also includes more than 150 key fixes and improvements to Opera.As always this is just the first 28 developer build, so expect further fixes and improvements in the future.
Happy New Year! Most of the desktop team have returned from their holidays and are back to working on your favorite browser, so we thought it might be a good time to give you another release. Additionally, the annoying known issue from the previous build is now fixed. So no more crashing when activating find in page! \o/
Today Opera developer 28 receives further stability enhancements to help bring it up towards beta quality. In addition, the internal Chromium version has been updated to 41.0.2272.35.
Today, Opera 28 reached beta quality and is ready for wider testing and feedback. Opera beta 28 includes a number of interesting improvements, particularly regarding bookmarks. For example, you can now sync your bookmarks between computers and/or Android phones, and get bookmark suggestions when you type in the address field.We made some nice Mac changes, such as significantly smaller installation packages and better integration with MacOS 10.10 (Yosemite).In addition, we refreshed our bundled themes and updated Chromium to version 41.0.2272.35 for even better website compatibility.
Opera beta recently updated to version 28, so Opera developer moves on to version 29. Today’s most visual updates are related to tabs. It is now possible to access your recently visited tabs from other devices (using sync technology) and we have also added sound notification to the tab favicon.
We have a small update to Opera 27 for you all today. We updated Chromium to 40.0.2214.111 and made some other under-the-hood improvements. Of note, we fixed a bug where some secure sites failed to load on Mac. We recommended this update for stability and better site compatibility.We have a rather short changelog for you this time. We’re busy working away on Opera 28 and 29. The changelog will be much longer when those get to the stable channel. So, if you’re a fan of changelogs, be patient. Big things are coming!
Hey,Last week, we worked on the first iteration of bookmark bar among many other fixes listed below. The bookmark bar is still very much work in progress, but please take it for a spin.It works little differently from Chrome, as user can decide what folder to set as bookmark bar. You can place it at the bottom if you like to. We now offer 32 bit Linux version as many people asked for it! Let us know how it works :-)
