Here’s another Opera Next update, straight from sunny (finally!) Oslo this time. As you can see from the changelog we’ve fixed a few more bugs and tweaked the heart design slightly (now with an added hover effect). We have also updated to Chromium 36.0.1985.103.

Today we have an update of Opera Next for you. The most important thing in this build is updated Chromium, which is now version 36.0.1985.125. Other changes include cosmetical changes among Speed Dial and some opera://flags polishing. As always, changes are available in the changelog.

The most visible change in Opera 23 is the heart icon in the combined search and address bar. Previously, Opera’s heart icon meant “add to Stash”. But, when we talked to users, they told us they were confused about the icons in address bar and didn’t know how to turn on the bookmarks bar.
Now, click the heart and you can decide whether to add the page to Stash, the bookmarks bar or Speed Dial. If you add something to the bookmarks bar for the first time, the bar will be enabled automatically.
Under the hood, we’ve improved the browser’s stability to prevent crashes if a plug-in freezes or crashes.

Today, we released a new update to Opera developer 25. This update comes with a few fixes for things like bookmarks, MP3, H.264 and more. A complete list of changes can be found in the changelog.

Opera developer

We decided to change the name of the Opera Developer stream to Opera developer. The change is small, but make more sense together with another change we will make in the near future.

Known issues

We found some problems related to Web Notifications. Here’s some known issues that we’re working to fix:

    There is no way to toggle notifications on or off in the Settings page
    There is no way to deny a site’s request to serve notifications
    The Settings page i crashing on OS X 10.7 and 10.8

Greetings from Poland. Today we have a new update of Opera Next. In this new version we have updated to Chromium (37.0.2062.76) and fixed some small issues related to tabs.
Opera will now prefer the PPAPI flash player over the NPAPI flash player, if PPAPI has been installed on the system. If you do not have the PPAPI flash player and you would like to use it; you can download it from the Adobe labs page.
