In Opera 12 we introduced out of process plugins to try to reduce the number of times plugins take Opera down. We now see that some Windows users are from time to time experiencing Opera freezing on pages with plug-in content. The issue has been investigated and we found the best short term solution to get Opera at a quality level we are comfortable with is to temporarily remove out of process plugins until we have a proper fix.As these issues are not appearing on Mac and Linux, and as 64 bit Windows needs out of process plugins to run 32 bit plugins we will only do this for 32 bit Windows. Please notify us if you find any regressions from 12.01.

Opera 12.02 has just been released to address some important security issues. In that regard we would like to give you a tip regarding a new Java vulnerability that was announced. It only affects Java 7;Java 6 or older is not affected. What's the best way to handle this for yourself in Opera? One solution is to activate the click-to-play for all plug-ins. From the main Opera menu, go to Settings -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Content, and click on Enable plug-ins. (See below.) This will also disable Flash, meaning you won't be able to watch videos, but on the other hand this should keep you safe until the Java problem is fixed.
Hey ya'llThis build only includes the revert of out of process (for Windows 32-Bit only), which we already did in 12.02.Plugins should now behave better in the Next snapshots as well. Also the revert is only for 32 bit windows builds as we did for 12.02Known Issues: See previous snapshots
