Hello Opera fans!

We’re happy to inform you that Opera 73 has just entered the beta stage. It’s based on Chromium 87.0.4280.40.

Some highlights: The Facebook Messenger icon has been updated, duplicate tab highlighting is fixed, and when using the dark theme on macOS, text on the Bookmark Bar is again visible when the application is not focused.

Hello there,

This is our weekly Opera developer update, which includes some UI corrections for the Easy Files popup, and some improvements to the Bookmarks Bar.

There is a known issue in the sidebar Player feature. Normally, Player audio is paused when a tab plays its own audio. After that, Player audio resumes automatically. Currently, when audio in a tab is muted, Player does not resume. This will be fixed soon.
