This is a second Opera developer release this week as a special holiday gift for you. We would like to present a new feature, which will make handling many tabs you have opened in the browser much easier.

To give you easy and visually clear access to open tabs we’ve implemented a pop-up visual tab-cycler.

Using Control+Tab shortcut you’ll get a clear visual of opened tabs by seeing up to 5 thumbnails side by side and cycle through them.

Happy New Year everyone!

With this release of Opera 66 we are including some updates which will improve and speed up your browsing, along with continued design improvements for your sidebar. The first feature we would like to highlight comes in handy to those of us who tend to close tabs accidentally and later regret it.
We have an easy solution for this, one that doesn’t require going to the full history section. When you click the clock icon that takes you to history, your browser will ask if you would like to reopen your recently closed tabs. If you click yes, they will come back as if you had never closed them in the first place.

This snapshot allows you to focus different areas of the UI using F6 (and Shift+F6).

Using F6 it is now possible to cycle keyboard focus between the webpage, bookmarks bar, tab bar and address bar. From here, other keys such as the Tab, Arrows, Enter and Esc keys allow you to focus and manipulate other sub elements.

Hi there,

Here is the first Opera developer update of 2020. This build contains crash fixes and other improvements. We’ve fixed the tooltips in the Bookmarks/History panels in dark mode as well as the colors in your Personal news when the dark theme is turned on. The bookmark bar’s folder dropdown no longer overlaps the bookmark bar.

Known issue: [Win] No sound on videos on Facebook
