Today’s snapshot is the first release candidate for 2.5.

To help us get 2.5 out the door as soon as possible, please focus your feedback on serious regressions since 2.4 stable. If you want to ask about new (post 2.5) features or longstanding issues, please do so on our forums.

Note: This build will receive updates from the snapshot autoupdate stream. Even if there are no additional changes, Vivaldi will be rebuilt for the stable autoupdate stream, resulting in another version number change. Further translations will also be applied.

Hi,

this is a Stable update. It contains some fixes for the UI, bookmark list and
the Crypto Wallet. We also made the colors in the dark theme more contrast and readable.

We’re starting a brand new Opera line today.

This based on Chromium 75.0.3766.2 build brings our experimental approach for speed dial page preloading. You can try it by enabling the flag #sd-flicker-buster.

Please enable the flag and send us your feedback about speed dial page loading. All your comments and feedback are welcome.

We’ve also fixed the black screen issue that many of you have recently experienced.

This update fixes an issue where WhatsApp blocked Vivaldi users, an issue with Google.com being offset at the point of text input, and we have updated Chromium to the latest stable version.

The following fixes were made since the previous 2.5 minor update:

Hi,

This Opera 62 developer update contains a crash fix and other fixes, such as:

    Dragged tab header is now visible in private mode
    SD flicker buster recognizes zoom on internal pages
    The text on Snapshot hint in light mode is more readable
    Dragging text onto the tab bar on Linux now triggers search

We also changed the sound for “Emergency Reset” in the Crypto Wallet.

Known issues:

    Sidebar menu button doesn’t work on macOS and Linux
    Browser crashes when logging out from Telegram sidebar
    Synchronisation login form flashes when trying to synchronise on macOS
    When opening a new private window on MacOS, a second window flashes behind it

Hi all,

In this update you can find a fix to the crash at logging out from the Telegram sidebar app. We also added “Use bigger tiles” option to the Settings page and removed unused components from Easy Setup and the navigation bar.
