In this Snapshot, we’re continuing to add options to some of our most popular features: a list layout to the visual tab cycler, settings for focus-based panel auto collapse and tiling new tabs in a tab stack. We also found the time to add a new privacy-conscious search engine, and fixed 10 regressions!

today’s build contains fixes for Error message on About page after udate check timeout and not correctly redrawn extension icons after disabling/enabling them (macOS).

from today’s Stable update you should no longer receive again previously removed Speed Dials on your Start page. If this problem still persist for you, please let us know.

You could see an error with last update on About page. It’s also fixed now.

Hello,

this update includes fix for issue from previous developer release which caused removal of all extensions on update. Unfortunately if you have already updated to 56.0.3023.0 you will have to manually re-install extensions that have been removed, unless you have already done so in which case all should work fine.

Since we’ve released Snap packages for Linux users last week, it’s worth mentioning that from now on Canonical is also providing the FFmpeg codec in their Snap store. This should give you the best experience when opening any media.

    Dark mode is now implemented in pop-ups (such as battery saver pop-up, feedback pop-up, and the ad blocker pop-up)
