Privatezilla integrates the most critical Windows 10 privacy settings and allows you to quickly perform a privacy check against these settings. Blackbird was designed to alleviate spending hours on tweaking your privacy settings by using some known and less-known techniques to fully disarm Windows without leaving behind even the smallest possible footprint.

There are other tools that claim to block Windows spying but they are cumbersome to use and not as powerful or are limited in scope. So the author took Windows apart, piece by piece, analyzed web traffic, system calls, file changes,etc., compared different configurations, designed and built a stand-alone tool and spent hundreds of hours on beta testing so anyone can use it and it gets the job done right.

    On some systems, files of the "PSWindowsUpdate" module were blocked when PowerShell was called, so it was not possible to search for updates on them (W10Privacy "froze"). In the run-up to the execution of the module, the affected files are first unlocked using the "Unblock-File" call (this was also done with the previous W10Privacy versions and the old "PSWindowsUpdate" module, according to my tests it seemed to work with the new version no longer necessary).
    Fixed a bug that prevented the "System Apps" tab from showing the reason for showing an empty tab (the tab just remained empty instead of showing the "Settings" notice).
