Keylogger dienen dazu, sämtliche Tastatureingaben zu speichern und zu versenden. Dadurch wird versucht, Zugangsdaten der User abzugreifen. Hier kommt KeyScrambler ins Spiel. Das Programm installiert sich auf dem Tastaturtreiber-Level und verschlüsselt alle Eingaben im IE, Firefox und Flock, bevor der Keylogger in Aktion tritt. Dieser bekommt damit nur noch verschlüsselte Daten übermittelt, mit denen niemand etwas anfangen kann. Die Entschlüsselung findet im Browser statt.

Nach der Installation arbeitet das Tool selbstständig im Hintergrund - weitere Einstellungen sind also nicht erforderlich. Neben der kostenlosen Personal-Edition bietet der Hersteller auch eine kostenpflichtige Premium- und Pro-Version an (30/45$).

Hooker is a lightweight keyboard spy program that watches a computer for input by another user. It includes a stealth mode, log encryption, capturing of clipboard changes and currently used process, and log viewer. The public version has several limitations which include, program shows itself when started; stealth mode is deactivated when hot key is pressed (without password prompt).

Note: Although this program can be used for legitimate purposes, it will be seen as malware by many scanners.
