Mit der Freeware Prevent Restore kann der freie Bereich von Festplatten mit leeren Daten überschrieben werden. Dadurch ist ein wiederherstellen von gelöschten Dateien nicht mehr möglich.

Für andere Überschreibungsarten (siehe Bild 2) bietet der Hersteller eine kostenpflichtige Version an. Der normale User sollte aber mit der Freeware gut bedient sein.
