GUI:

    Bei der Laufwerksauswahl auch den Laufwerksbuchstaben anzeigen.
    Wenn cdrtfe mit gedrückter Shift-Taste gestartet wird, läuft es im Debug-Mode.
    Meldung 'Invalid Handle' beim Vergleich eines ISO-Images durch mehrere Versuche umgehen, sofern möglich. Fehlermeldung verdeutlicht.

Audio-CD:

    Option in cdrtfe.ini, die Prüfungen für das Format der Sounddateien (nur FLAC) weniger streng handzuhaben: Sektion [Audio-CD], RelaxedFormatChecking = 1. Dies ermöglicht es, bei Verwendung einer benutzerdefinierten Kommandozeile für die Audio-Dekodierung (z.B. mit ffmpeg) auch Quelldateien zu verwenden, die nicht dem Audio-CD-Format entsprechen.

Bugfix:

    Audio-CD: Gleichnamige Tracks aus verschiedenen Quellverzeichnissen führen zur Problemen, da es beim Konvertieren ins wav-Format zu Namenskollisionen im temporären Verzeichnis kommt.

Die Brennsoftware erweitert außerdem die mit Windows Vista eingeführte, intergrierte Brennfunktion und ermöglicht es, Direktkopien der unterstützten Datenträger zu erstellen. Seit Version 2 des Brennprogramms lassen sich einige Features auch ohne Administrator-Rechte ausführen. Die Funktionen des Programms lassen sich über das Kontextmenü erreichen und ausführen – einen eigenen Eintrag im Startmenü legt die Software nicht an.
