Nein, ich habe leider kein Changelog, geschweige denn eine Ahnung, was Google in Chrome 12 so einbauen will. Fakt ist aber: seit ein paar Stunden gibt es Chromium in Version 12. Wird mal Zeit, dass Google mal die Versionierung abändert – einen Browser mit dreistelliger Versionsnummer ist ja gar nicht so weit weg



Wer mal probieren möchte : Download Portable Google Chrome . MIt dem integrierten Updater einfach auf den Chromium switchen.

Google-Browser

Google hat ein neues Logo für seinen Browser Chrome vorgestellt. Es war bereits in den letzten Wochen in den Entwicklerversionen des Browsers aufgetaucht.
Chrome bekommt ein neues, frisches und vor allem vereinfachtes Logo. Es drücke die Philosophie von Chrome - schneller, leichtgewichtiger und einfacher - besser aus, erklärt Google. Dennoch orientiert sich das neue Design am bisherigen Chrome-Logo, wirkt aber abstrakter und verzichtet auf den 3D-Effekt.

Entstanden sei das neue Logo als Gruppenarbeit, um ein Logo zu schaffen, das über alle Medien hinweg - Web, Print und andere Formate - funktioniert.

Auch das Open-Source-Projekt Chromium bekommt ein neues Logo. Wie gehabt entspricht das Design dem Chrome-Logo, aber statt der Farben Gelb, Grün und Rot werden für Chromium Blautöne verwendet. (ji)
