FontViewOK sorgt für schnellen Überblick auch bei großen Beständen installierter Schriften am PC. Die Freeware startet ohne jede Installation, kann also auch portabel von USB-Sticks aus genutzt werden.

Der in FontViewOK eingebaute Schriftenbetrachter zeigt nach dem Programmstart eine Liste aller vorhandener Fonts mitsamt einer Schriftprobe an. Sollte die Systempartition mal zu klein werden, oder man möchte generell installierte Software oder sonstige Ordner auf einer anderen Partition/Laufwerk haben, so bekommt man mit der Freeware SymMover ein kleines einfaches Helferlein an die Hand. SymMover verschiebt ausgewählte Ordner und ersetzt diese durch symbolische Links. Für Windows liegen die Dateien dann noch an ihrem ursprünglichen Platz, so das keine Registrieeinträge geändert werden müssen, wenn man z.B. ein Spiel verschiebt. Der erste Programmstart dauert eine Weile, da die installierten Programme eingelesen werden. Im Anschluss muss man über "Optionen" ein Zielpfad angeben.

Ein erstellen eines SymLinks innerhalb eines Laufwerk bringt das Programm durcheinander und bringt natürlich auch nicht den gewünschten Effekt auf einer Partition Platz zu bekommen.
