You can easily import your bank transactions from your previous account manager or from your bank online statements to Yapbam. It helps you to quickly enter your transactions with its entry wizard. It automatically generates your periodical transactions (salary, taxes, etc.). Yapbam builds your account's balance history and throws alerts when it becomes negative. Yapbam creates instantaneously budget view and category-wise charts of your expenses. At last, Yapbam provide you with a currency converter connected through the Internet to the official ECB (European Central Bank) rates.

Balabolka is a feature-rich program to read text aloud from a variety of file types including DOC, RTF, PDF, ODT, FB2 and HTML. The program uses Microsoft's own Speech API 4 and 5, but lets you fine tune various voice parameters, including rate and pitch, and a substitution list can also be applied to improve the quality of the voice's articulation. The program supports customized font and background color, skins, control reading from the system tray or by the global hotkeys.

Balabolka can also save the synchronized text to external LRC files or in MP3 tags inside the audio files. When the audio file is played with players on a computer or on modern digital audio players, the text will be displayed synchronously (in the same way as lyrics for songs).

Also includes batch conversion tools from of a wide variety of document formats to audio or plain text and a file compare tool, file splitter, and screen magnification window.

Mit dem kostenlosen VolControl regelt man die Audio-Lautstärke unter Windows per Tastaturkürzel. Die Freeware erspart Anwendern ohne Multimedia-Tastatur mühselige Handgriffe in die Einstellungen des Audiomixers.

In den Optionen von VolControl legt der User die Tastenkombinationen fest, mit denen man das Volumen der Audioausgabe regelt. Zusätzlich hält VolControl einen Tastenkürzel für die Mute-Funktion bereit. Die Änderungen des Volumens zeigt die Freeware zudem grafisch in einem Balkendiagramm an.

VolControl bietet einen pfiffigen Weg um die Lautstärke in Windows per Tastenkürzeln zu regeln. Negativ: Laut Entwickler ist die Freeware nur eingeschränkt mit Windows 7 und Vista kompatibel.

Dual Monitor Taskbar bringt eine eigene Taskleiste auf das zweite Display. Die Freeware sorgt zudem dafür, dass Programme immer auf dem gewünschten Monitor auftauchen.

Wer mehrere Monitore am PC angeschlossen hat, kennt das Problem: Neue Programmfenster öffnen sich in der Regel dort, wo man sie nicht braucht. Je nach Größe der angeschlossenen Displays kann die Reise zur Taskleiste auf dem anderen Display eine Reise von über 4.000 Pixeln oder mehr bedeuten. Dual Monitor Taskbar klont nicht nur die Taskleiste auf das zweite Anzeigegerät, sondern zeigt auf Wunsch dort nur die Programme an, die auf dem zweiten Display aktiv sind. Der Programm-Manager sorgt indes dafür, dass die Anwendung X sich immer auf dem gleichen Display öffnet.

Für Multidisplay-User ist die kostenlose Dual Monitor Taskbar einfach nur praktisch. Die Verwaltung der zweiten Taskleiste ist zwar in englischer Sprache, dieser kleine Wermutstropfen lässt sich allerdings verkraften. Gesamturteil: Empfehlenswert.

Bugs resolved:

* Greenshot general: I-Beam cursor isn't displayed correctly on the final result.
* Greenshot general: Not all hotkeys can be changed in the editor. For example the pause or the Windows key need to be modified directly in the ini.
* Greenshot editor: Rotate only rotates the bitmap, not the added elements or cursor
* Greenshot editor: The shadow and torn edges effects don't create a transparent background yet.
* Confluence Plug-in: the retrieving of the current page from firefox only works on the currently displayed Firefox tab. This is a problem since Firefox 13 and it is currently unknown if there is a fix.
* OCR Plug-in: OCR is not working on 64 bit Windows, as the MODI-OCR component from Microsoft is not available in 64 bit, in this case Greenshot should be run in 32-bit or the plugins should be changed to call a 32-bit exe.

FontViewOK sorgt für schnellen Überblick auch bei großen Beständen installierter Schriften am PC. Die Freeware startet ohne jede Installation, kann also auch portabel von USB-Sticks aus genutzt werden.

Der in FontViewOK eingebaute Schriftenbetrachter zeigt nach dem Programmstart eine Liste aller vorhandener Fonts mitsamt einer Schriftprobe an. Anhand welcher Zeichenfolge FontViewOK die Vorschau anzeigen soll, kann der User selbst bestimmen, ebenso die Größe der Preview. Dabei lässt sich FontViewOK auf eine Zwei-Fenster-Ansicht umschalten. Auf diese Weise vergleicht man komfortabel zwei Schriften miteinander.
