DesktopOK ist ein kleines Tool zum Speichern der Iconposition, bzw. des Icon Layouts am Desktop. Gerade für Anwender, die oft die Bildschirmauflösung verändern müssen, wie z.B. Webmaster oder Gamer.

Oder auch für potentielle Nutzer (Anwender), die häufig mit einem Beamer am Notebook arbeiten müssen. (Auch hierbei stellt sich gern die Auflösung am Notebook um).

Nach dieser Veränderung findet man ein Iconchaos am Desktop, als ob eine Bombe eingeschlagen hätte. Ebenso bei Arbeiten mit Andockbahren, Desktopleisten und Fenstern verschiebt sich die Iconposition und wird nicht korrekt wiederhergestellt, falls dies vom jeweiligen Programm nicht in vorraussichtlicher Weise berücksichtigt wurde, wie z.B. in "FavoritenFreund".

Snipaste is an easy screen capture and image edition program, especially useful for detecting windows and menus, supporting pixel-level control. Both captured images and various clipboard content can be pasted as a floating window to the desktop. Windows can be moved, organized into groups, saved to file, as well as basic editions like rotation, zoom, translucence, etc.

grepWin durchstöbert Dateien und Ordner nach komplexen Begriffen und regulären Ausdrücken. Die Freeware ersetzt auf Wunsch automatisch alle Suchtreffer auf einen Schlag.

Die Suchergebnisse werden in Listenform angezeigt. Ein Doppelklick auf die gewünschte Datei öffnet diese. Die Suche lässt sich mit grepWin mit diversen Parametern auf bestimmte Dateien eingrenzen. Häufig gesuchte Ausdrücke kann der Anwender als so genanntes Bookmark abspeichern. So lassen sich wiederkehrende Suchen mit ein paar Klicks erneut ausführen.

grepWin integriert sich auf Wunsch in das Kontextmenü des Windows Explorers, was das Durchsuchen von Dateien und Ordnern noch schneller und komfortabler macht. Die aktuelle Version der Freeware bietet diverse neue Funktionen beim Suchen und Ersetzen. Die Freeware beachtet die Groß- und Kleinschreibung und sucht auf Wunsch nur nach bestimmten Dateigrößen.

MyImgur (previously Tiny Uploader) is a tool for uploading pictures to imgur.com without having to go through their website. The program can send multiple files in a queue, crop an area of the screen, clipboard, or capture the active window with F11. Once uploaded, the program can copy a link to the file directly to your clipboard.

The program can auto-resize pictures and/or lower quality automatically if file exceeds a given size, to speed-up uploads on slow connections. Will store captures from cropping or paste etc and supports multiple monitors in any configurations (spanned horz/vertically etc.)

Die erstellte Liste kann in verschiedene Formate exportiert werden. Wählt man das HTML-Format aus, können die Dateien darin verlinkt werden. Es können mehrere Profile angelegt werden, die beim Starten auch kombiniert werden können (sofern sich die Einstellungen nicht ausschließen).

MultiPar is a parchive (PAR Archive) program that allows you to create par checksum files for data verification, error detection, correction and recovery.

It's best used in cases where you need 100% of your data to remain intact, but you don't want to duplicate all of your data to provide redundancy.

Using MultiPar, you can create a PAR Archive of your data that can substitute for any other section of missing data. PAR, PAR2 and (experimental) PAR3 formats are supported.

For example you have 500MB of data in files of multiple sizes (or in one big file). You want to back up this data to a 650MB CD, but also want to guard against data corruption. You can create 150MB of PAR Archive files to also store on the disc. If any of the data on the disc becomes corrupted (up to 150MB), MultiPar can recover the original 500MB from the remaining uncorrupted data.

Another use is in sending files when you're unsure that your transmission method will send 100% of the data. For example, you're sending files to the Mars Rover (or your friend Steve who has a flaky data plan that times out mid-stream) and want to be sure that the Mars Rover (or Steve) got all of the files. You can create PAR2 recovery files so that the Mars Rover (or Steve) can verify it (he) received all the data, and can recover some of the data without having to ask you to "send the 3rd file again."
