Non Visual Desktop Access (NVDA) is a free and open source screen reader for the Microsoft Windows operating system. This software can enable blind or vision impaired people to access computers running Windows for no more cost than a sighted person. NVDA allows the user to find out what is happening on the screen by querying the Operating system and using a speech synthesizer to output the information.

There is now a command to move the braille display to the current focus. Currently, only the ALVA BC640/680 series has a key assigned to this command, but it can be assigned manually for other displays in the Input Gestures dialog if desired.
In Microsoft Excel, you can now interact with form fields. You move to form fields using the Elements List or single letter navigation in browse mode. (#4953)
You can now assign an input gesture to toggle simple review mode using the Input Gestures dialog.

CHANGES:

NVDA now reports colors using a basic well-understood set of 9 color hues and 3 shades, with brightness and paleness variations. This is rather than using more subjective and less understood color names.
The existing NVDA+F9 then NVDA+F10 behavior has been modified to select text on the first press of F10. When F10 is pressed twice (in quick succession) the text is copied to the clipboard.
Updated eSpeak NG to version Master 11b1a7b (22 June 2016).

BUG FIXES:

In browse mode in Microsoft Word, copying to the clipboard now preserves formatting.
In Microsoft Word, NVDA now reports appropriately when using Word's own table navigation commands (alt+home, alt+end, alt+pageUp and alt+pageDown) and table selection commands (shift added to the navigation commands).
In Microsoft Word dialog boxes, NVDA's object navigation has been greatly improved.
In some applications such as Visual Studio 2015, shortcut keys (e.g. control+c for Copy) are now reported as expected.

In the Web Conference Plugin (such as used on out-of-sight.net) NVDA no longer beeps and speaks progress bar updates related to microphone input.
Performing a Find Next or Find Previous command in Browse Mode will now correctly do a case sensitive search if the original Find was case sensitive.
When editing dictionary entries, feedback is now given for invalid regular expressions. NVDA no longer crashes if a dictionary file contains an invalid regular expression.
If NVDA is unable to communicate with a braille display (e.g. because it has been disconnected), it will automatically disable use of the display.
Slightly improved performance of filtering in the Browse Mode Elements List in some cases.
In Microsoft Excel, the background pattern names reported by NVDA now match those used by Excel.

Mit bcTester können Barcodes gelesen werden, die sich in Bilddateien oder Adobe PDF Dokumenten befinden. Sowohl die herkömmlichen Strichcodes (lineare Barcodes) als auch die moderneren 2D (zweidimensionale) Barcodes können erkannt werden. Entdecken Sie, was in den Barcodes verschlüsselt ist!

Sie müssen nur durch Scannen oder Fotografieren eine Bilddatei erzeugen, bcTester erkennt dann darauf die Barcodes.
Sie öffnen ein Bild (tif, jpg, pdf Datei) und starten "Barcode erkennen". Die Software sucht die charakteristischen Merkmale der Barcodes im Bild und dekodiert die Inhalte. Ein herkömmlicher Strichcode (eindimensionaler Barcode) enthält in der Regel recht kurze Informationen wie Artikelnummern.

Equalizer APO (Audio Processing Object) is a system-wide equalizer that provides infinite adjustments to sound output for your PC. It is designed as a parametric/graphic equalizer with a modular GUI which features an unlimited number of filters, multi-channel use, an extremely low latency that ensures its use with multiple interactive applications - an all around EQ app.

Equalizer APO does require a reboot after install but then it is good to go. You can slide the adjustments on the graphic EQ that is located in the top portion while viewing the analyses panel down below for the effects of the changes made. It also features preamplification/gain as well as balance modifiers. Equalizer APO does require a sound card driver that supports APOs (this includes most onboard sound drivers), and you can not use APIs like ASIO or WASAPI exclusive mode.

Note: It specifies Windows Vista or later but appears that it has only been tested on Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10.

MyImgur (previously Tiny Uploader) is a tool for uploading pictures to imgur.com without having to go through their website. The program can send multiple files in a queue, crop an area of the screen, clipboard, or capture the active window with F11. Once uploaded, the program can copy a link to the file directly to your clipboard.

The program can auto-resize pictures and/or lower quality automatically if file exceeds a given size, to speed-up uploads on slow connections. Will store captures from cropping or paste etc and supports multiple monitors in any configurations (spanned horz/vertically etc.)

TimeSync gets the current time from a NIST server, and adjusts the PC clock if necessary. It will try alternative servers in case the time cannot be obtained from the first server.
