SecretFolder verbirgt einzelne Ordner mitsamt aller persönlichen Daten vor neugierigen Blicken anderer Personen. Die Freeware schützt die versteckten Verzeichnisse vor unberechtigten Lesezugriffen und auch vor unerwünschten Änderungen.

Leider gibt es unter Windows kein Bordmittel, um einzelne Ordner dauerhaft zu verbergen. Secret Folder füllt diese Lücke und sorgt dafür, dass alle persönlichen Daten sicher und kennwortgeschützt aus der Blickfläche verschwinden.

Zunächst legt der Anwender ein Kennwort für den Zugriff auf das Programm selbst fest. Nun wählt man einfach diejenigen Verzeichnisse aus, die versteckt werden sollen und setzt deren Status auf "Lock". Dies sorgt dafür, dass sie auch im Windows Explorer nicht mehr auftauchen. Die Freeware unterstützt die Dateisysteme NTFS, FAT32, exFAT und FAT.

DShutdown is a stand-alone program that allows you to easily shutdown and wake up local or remote PCs, with many specific options.

DShutdown supports more than just standard shutdown options, there are options relating to "pure" shutdown (such as the "force after wait" option which causes a forced, but 'clear' shutdown). There are monitoring options that allow you to shutdown a PC after a particular application terminates (useful at the end of compressing several files). There are also options to shutdown a PC when Internet traffic reduces below a particular data-rate (useful to shutdown a PC when it has finished a large download).

grepWin durchstöbert Dateien und Ordner nach komplexen Begriffen und regulären Ausdrücken. Die Freeware ersetzt auf Wunsch automatisch alle Suchtreffer auf einen Schlag.

Die Suchergebnisse werden in Listenform angezeigt. Ein Doppelklick auf die gewünschte Datei öffnet diese. Die Suche lässt sich mit grepWin mit diversen Parametern auf bestimmte Dateien eingrenzen. Shutter lets you perform an action when a user-specified event occurs. The event could be timer countdown, a certain time trigger, low CPU usage, user inactive, low battery etc. The action could be shutdown, reboot, logoff, lock workstation, sleep, hibernate etc. It is also able to play a custom sound and/or run a program of your choice, in addition to displaying a user-configurable message. A web interface is also available that permits remote execution of one of a list of actions.

Note: the developer has added limitations in recent "Lite" versions of his software. Shutter is limited to 5 presets, events, and actions.

ReNamer Lite is a small and flexible file renaming tool that offers all the standard renaming procedures, including prefixes, suffixes, replacements, case changes.
