Volumouse provides you a quick and easy way to control the sound volume on your system - simply by rolling the wheel of your wheel mouse. It allows you to define a set of rules for determining when the wheel will be used for changing the sound volume. For example: You can configure Volumouse to use your mouse wheel for volume control when the Alt key is hold down, when the left mouse button is down, when the mouse cursor is over the taskbar, and so on...
When the conditions that you define are not satisfied, your mouse wheel will be used for the regular scrolling tasks, exactly as before.

DropIt is a simple floating target image on your desktop you can drag-and-drop files onto to quickly process them with a predefined action. It supports 12 different actions: move, copy, compress, extract, rename, delete, open with, create list, create playlist, create shortcut, copy to clipboard, ignore. A destination can be chosen for each association defined, as well as group associations in different profiles.

The program allows to create rules based on file name, extension, location, size, date and/or regular expressions. For existing files in destination folders can be defined if overwrite, skip or rename them. Shutter lets you perform an action when a user-specified event occurs. The event could be timer countdown, a certain time trigger, low CPU usage, user inactive, low battery etc. The action could be shutdown, reboot, logoff, lock workstation, sleep, hibernate etc. It is also able to play a custom sound and/or run a program of your choice, in addition to displaying a user-configurable message. A web interface is also available that permits remote execution of one of a list of actions.

Note: the developer has added limitations in recent "Lite" versions of his software. Shutter is limited to 5 presets, events, and actions.

PartCopy is a useful tool that can copy any number of bytes from one file into a new one. Useful if you want to extract sound or data from a location within a file. The controls allow you to enter the start position and length in either decimal or hexadecimal values. Buttons also allow you to make changes like switch to the end of the file.

The hex file viewer is an alternate way to selecting the start and offset positions. It is a great way to visually see the segment of the file you want to copy.

SecretFolder verbirgt einzelne Ordner mitsamt aller persönlichen Daten vor neugierigen Blicken anderer Personen. Die Freeware schützt die versteckten Verzeichnisse vor unberechtigten Lesezugriffen und auch vor unerwünschten Änderungen.

Leider gibt es unter Windows kein Bordmittel, um einzelne Ordner dauerhaft zu verbergen. Secret Folder füllt diese Lücke und sorgt dafür, dass alle persönlichen Daten sicher und kennwortgeschützt aus der Blickfläche verschwinden.

Zunächst legt der Anwender ein Kennwort für den Zugriff auf das Programm selbst fest. Nun wählt man einfach diejenigen Verzeichnisse aus, die versteckt werden sollen und setzt deren Status auf "Lock". Dies sorgt dafür, dass sie auch im Windows Explorer nicht mehr auftauchen. Die Freeware unterstützt die Dateisysteme NTFS, FAT32, exFAT und FAT.
