Kurze Anmerkungen zu 4.88w9x:

Keine Verbesserungen zu meinen letzten Schilderungen feststellbar.
Alle grossen bugs noch da.

Nachträglich festgestellt, nicht nur Overlay läuft mit der SS1 im HW-Mode nicht mehr sofort, sondern Surface auch nicht.
Und nach etwa 4.84.1 geht der Theatre Modus meiner Radeon 9250 nicht. Am sekundären Display erscheinen nur Fetzen des erstem Bildes.

Die 5er ist auch nicht besser...einzig der neue Grid-EPG ist hier als positiv anzusehen ....

Was aber echt ne Frechheit ist ...anscheinend kann man mittlerweile nicht mal mehr nen Audio Pid für einen Kanal umstellen (was letztlich wirklich nicht mehr möglich ist) , ohne angemeckert zu werden , das dies ja nur in der kostenpflichtigen ´Pro Version´ möglich wäre .... 

Gleiches gilt auch für die Nutzung von PiP´s (Bild in Bild) etc.....

Sorry , aber da kann sich prog von mir aus mit seinem Kram echt gehackt legen ...zum Glück gibts genügend vernünftige Alternativen zu Progdvb ( http://www.dvbcube.org/index.php?topic=23245.0  )... die auch ohne erst abzulöhnen ...mehr an Funktion bieten ...und natürlich auch fehlerfreier daherkommen ....

Hast ja recht, wirklich.

Als SS1-Nutzer soll man jetzt auf eine Engine3 warten, falls die jemals kommt, weil dann vielleicht einige Hardware-Fähigkeiten wieder gehen könnten.
PVA-Unterstützung dagegen soll garnicht wiederkommen, auch nicht für Wiedergabe.
Aber gerade ProgDVB hat früher viele korrupte Aufnahmen angefertigt, die nicht fehlerfrei zu konvertieren sind und daher immer noch direkt aufbewahrt und genutzt werden müssen.

Zudem schlägt der Mann immer wieder vor, man möge sich doch endlich aktuelle Betreibssysteme, Hardware usw. holen, damit er's bei'm Programmieren leichter hat.
 
Lange Zeit drängte er mich, von Win9x auf XP zu wechseln. Dass ich hier teure Hardware habe, die unter 2k/XP/Fister nicht läuft, war ihm so lange egal, bis er feststellen musste, dass ich öffentlich zugebe, Dinge nicht supporten zu können, die ich nicht nutzen kann.
Nun ist's also die SS1, deren Hardware-Fähigkeiten er zunehmend kastriert.
Behauptet dabei, MPEG2 auf Festplatten würde eh' schon zu 95% ausgestorben sein.
Keine Ahnung, was der für Drogen nimmt.
Von Vodka allein kommt das nicht, eher wohl von selbstgebranntem Flugbenzin...


Vielleicht muss man sich doch intensiver mit den Mitbewerbern befassen und sie aktiv supporten und herausfordern, wie z.B. HispaDVB.

Ein vollwertiger Ersatz tut not.

Wesentliche Änderung ist bei allen, dass sie jetzt nicht mehr auf codepage 28599 (western / türkisch - latin5) zugreifen.

Jetzt klagen - neben mir - auch einige andere Astra-Nutzer über Sofortabsturz bei'm Scan- oder auch nur Update-Versuch genau auf 12552 V 22000 (Bloomberg TV Germany usw.).
Scheint von W9x bis Vista zu gelten.
Unter 2k geht ProgDVB einfach schlagartig zu, unter '98 gibt's Kernel-Mecker.

Eine Vorab-Testversion war soweit OK, also liegt's nicht (nur) an dieser Umstellung.

Also auf eigene Gefahr...
